All Heart Smart courses are fun and create a comfortable learning experience. Students should wear comfortable clothing. We want all students to feel comfortable and we'll make every effort to create a relaxed classroom environment.

If a student has a medical condition that would prevent them from performing chest compressions or breaths appropriately, please contact the instructor or coordinator and discuss the issue prior to class. In the event that the participant has medical condition, they are not necessarily disqualified from taking the course. Every effort will be made to pass the individual but all modules must be completed.

Drinks and snacks are allowed however, these will not be provided by Heart Smart. Your organization may choose to provide food and/or drinks.  Please remove lipstick and do not chew gum during the class. Heart Smart practices absolute cleanliness and safety. All students will learn how to properly clean manikins and how to protect themselves from bacteria and body fluids during the class and when providing skills in an emergency situation.

In the case of payments submitted as checks sent through the mail, both the check's date and the postmark date must be on or before the invoice's "due date" for the payment to be "on time". (Actual receipt date of the mailed check is immaterial, as mail processing time varies.)

Late Fees
In the following section, "days late" is defined as the number of calendar days after the invoice's due date. For example, if an invoice's due date is 1/1/2010 payment submitted on 1/2/2010 12:01am is considered one day late.

o 36-42 days late: $120 total fee
o 43-49 days late: $140 total fee
o 50-56 days late: $160 total fee
o 57-60 days late: $180 total fee
• After a payment is 60 days late:
o an additional $80 fee will be incurred ($240 total fee)
o all accounts and ongoing services will be suspended, and the service contract will be terminated
• After a payment is 60 days late, the account will be turned over to a collections agency. The client will be liable for the $160 cumulative fee as well as any costs incurred by the collection process.
